knarfeng, thank you for that info. Last year I was at a show where Hinderer had a table. I asked him why 20CV was not being used by more makers. His answer was that there was not enough available.
There were Timken-Latrobe ads maybe two years ago that claimed 30 percent better edgeholding than S30V. If so, I would have thought that by now 20CV would have taken much of S30V's business, just like S30V did to ATS34 (so to speak).
I'm just curious as to what happened. Is high-end cutlery just such a limited market that they don't care. Is there a secret conspiracy to keep 20CV off the market?
