What would be a good Becker blade to start with?

I'm a pretty petite girl who loves big blades and the beckers look like thats just what I need.

Maybe the BK9?

First, Welcome.

Second, ALL the Beckers are quality and will serve you well.

Third, we need more info on what you plan on using the Becker for before we can give any suggestions of real merit.

is this a joke? if not, be prepared to get A LOT of responses. :) BK9 is known as the King. BK2 is a beast and i love mine. You can't go wrong with either because its likely you will have both at some point anyway.

I think we need to see pics of yourself before we can determine what blade would best fit your frame :D jk jk. get a bk5. its the best there is

Ah, Clich WITH a bk5, Clich SUGGESTING the bk5. All is right within BeckerLand!

Another new girl? I suspect this thread to fill up quite fast...

I always recommend the BK7 first simply because in my opinion it is a blade that can do everything. If you want a small knife I would recommend the BK11 because it both performs with excellence and looks really badass even though it is really small.

Welcome to the world of beckers by the way :)

Welcome to the subforum - and the forum.

If you have small hands, avoid the BK2 as a first - it's the thickest of the bunch.
If you have REALLY small hands, check out the tweeners. They're not choppers, but they're sweet.

Seems a lot of these girls are fans of the Beckers.

I'd listen to what they say. The BK9, or BK2 is what I see most people get as their first Becker.

I like the BK15 for a petite framed woman. My girl is 5'-3" and thin, she likes the BK15. Its like a small version of what Clich already suggested, the BK5.
Its very useful for camp craft or kitchen. Great knife at a good price, made in America.

I'm with Clich on the bk5. Get yourself ann 11 or 14 while your at it....

Hello Mrs B! I am also curious as to what you're looking to do with the blade. There are going to be a ton of suggestions. Are you looking for a specific task blade or more all purpose?

Damn. We are getting invaded. Like many have said, we need to know your needs. But the 14 is a great all around first knife

I'm not sure what I will be using the knife for, maybe just a good all around blade, I don't know what certain knives are for.

I think the BK5 looks like a winner, first time I have seen it, maybe I will try that one first.

I will show pics of myself later, I'm kinda shy and don't want anyone to laugh at me.
Were can I buy knives at? Amazon?

Oh, what is a beckerhead?

It's a rare, misbegotten beast...usually heavily laden with many ounces of 1095CV (the metal of the gods) and found in any natural enviroment. Most likely reeking of stripper, bleach and whiskey fumes.
