I just recieved the BM 47 balisong that I ordered last week from New Graham. Nice, very nice. The handles need some Mili-Tec, but I can take care of that myself. Mike was a nice guy when I emailed him the day after I made the purchase and asked where my tracking number was (what can I say, I was in a hurry since my normal EDC balisong is being worked on right now), and got a reply on Friday. Great job, and I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.
Oh, BTW, the price was lower than even my local knife dealer, who was asking $40 bucks more then New Graham.

Yup, their price is great, and that doesn't hurt their customer service one bit.
Even though I'll have to fork over a substantial amount of tax to the government by ordering from him, his service had always been great.
He normally will mail me the tracking because I use USPS instead of the standard UPS.

calyth ... I placed an order recently from Bayou Lafourche Knife Works, and had it sent by USPS. The order total was over $200 US and shipping cost $18 and I was pleasantly surprised to have it arrive with no fees due - no additional shipping costs, no handling costs and no taxes. Everything was declared honestly. I'd assumed these fees had been included in the shipping cost, or something. Do you have any idea why we would have different experiences buying from the US? I want to buy from New Graham too, but ... I'd like to know what additional fees to expect.

Sorry I didn't spot your post, but I don't know how they can make the package that dodge it. I guess the customs were giving you a break.
I've yet to see a package that I've yet not to be taxed on if the customs slip accurately describes the items inside.

Just today, I received the invoice for $55 worth of taxes and duties previously paid by the shipping company used by Bayou Lafourche. Too bad - I thought I had something good there.

I agree, two thumbs up and my collection will grow by two more this week. Oh, yeah, I ordered some knives too!

Great job all at New Graham!

LOL...Ed, nice collection, but, where are the bandages????looks like most containers are empty!...perhaps I should send a pint of 0+ with next order...;)

I've always wondered what the bandage containers you guys got looked like.

I have the same thing from the blood bank. Just pack it with 8-9 and I'm good for a sharpening session. Rides in my pocket nearly 24/7.

Two more boxes arrived safely and six knives have new homes!

Thanks again,

Ed T

Those bandaid containers are a very nice touch. You really have to take your hat off to Mike Dye. From a variety of sources, you get the impression he represents a lot of the good things about the US, I think.
