New Grinder Question (Again)

Another question I have for fellow Canucks is this : Where do you get idler, contact, and drive wheels from? Pillow blocks and other such things are easy to get, but it seems the wheels are hard to track down. Any treasure maps?

I bought some from Beaumont and made some. I did not find a source this side of the border.

I use the three pulleys. The slow is slow enough that I don't burn my edges after heat treat. I can change speeds in 20 seconds without rushing.

Someday I'd like to get a VFD. But its kush, not need.

My KMG is set up with the three tier pully system also and its all I've ever needed. I like the fact that the motor doesn't bog down this way compared to the controller types but I guess if you get enough HP that shouldn't be too much of an issue.

For what its worth, the slow speed is almost too slow for me and I usually can't put up with it for long but to be honest mine is in the middle speed most all the time. Very rarely have I felt the need to change it.

I wouldn't trade my KMG for anything else at this point. The MAP arm I bought from Mike and just the heavy duty frame of the thing and I guess the simplistic keep it simple design really appeals to me. Of course once I buy something big I usually keep the things anyway. Kind of like my Lincoln Navigator which I figure they'll bury me in because its the best thing I've ever had. Maybe they'll be room in back for my grinder. :D
