New grips?

I’d take the money you’re going to put in to this project, and look for a better knife to purchase.

Another good option...almost mentioned that myself, but didn't know if maybe it had sentimental value. And I believe he already has some wood he can use, so shouldn't cost much.

Shouldn’t cost me anything, but I have no clue how to do this. I guess I should YouTube some videos?

Not really much sentiment, just really like the knife. :)

Any suggestions? I know it may not seem like that big of a deal, but 1( I’m tired of having the terrible feel of the electric tape mixed with the cheap plastic, and 2( I’m lost. This is such a huge new world to me (the knife world) - I need some guidance. :)
Instead of electric tape try adhesive bandage :)

Hey bud, I'll do this for you. If you ship the knife and wood to me, I'll make you some scales out of it and ship it back to you. No charge. They'll be pinned and glued on permanently, mind you. Shoot me an email if interested, and I'll give you the mailing address.

Thank you so much! I will ask my parents, when I talk to them about receiving some other knives from other members. Seriously, this forum is awesome! :)

My dad said he had some layered wood? (The one that looks really cool when you cut it) So hopefully he will be able to find that. I hope they say yes! :)

I hope so too. :) If they are concerned about "trusting a stranger online" just let them know that we knife makers rely on our reputations within the community, so doing the right thing is not only just part of being a good person, but of paramount importance to our ability to make a living. So to reiterate, all this will cost you is the price to ship your knife to Canada, but my pay will be the satisfaction of knowing you'll be happier with your favorite knife than you have ever been. Of course, I also wouldn't complain if once you receive it back you wanted to post a couple pics of it in the forum. ;)
