New GSM Cold Steel Website Live

So the link for Every Day Carry has a picture of an American Lawman and Mini Lawman. Is this a hint that they are going to bring back the Mini Lawman? Or is this just an outdated stock photo?

It was rumored to be returning for 2021.

If so, that’s disappointing. Clip is still in the same ridiculous place. Too many finger grooves as well. That knife really needs a refresh.

Sorry, was thinking of the Mini Recon.

Looks like the new website is live: https://www.coldsteel.com/

They also have new logo:

I'm not a fan of the blue color theme, would prefer a darker blue hue but honestly i like the look of the new short C/S logo like (ZT) and i hope they started using this short one for blade billboarding.

BTW doing a quick analysis of the website I can say that GSM sure got their IT budget right, and i suspect they have a dedicated ecommerce/web team running their websites. From the tech perspective they are doing many things right to make it relatively security and high perf. They have a new hosting, and they are also using a new CDN, DDoS and WAF protection via Cloudflare(Bladeforums also use Cloudflare). I tried doing a quick probing of their website and my test "attack" are getting caught by their WAF.

I would say from a technical perspective, this new website is definitely a step up from the old one.

Stats for nerds**:
HTTP/2 enabled
ECDSA cert
TLS 1.3 enabled (even though they score B on ssllabs because they still run TLS 1.0 & 1.1 and no HSTS)
CDN via Cloudflate
DDoS protection via Cloudflare
WAF via Cloudflare
Bigcommerce backend

**Disclaimer: I'm not associated with GSM in any form. I'm just a CS fan that also does internet for a living. I'm not shilling for GSM, and like many of you, I also hate this acquisition.
Never doubted you for a second man. I know you’re not a shill.

I didn't know there was a Lynn C Thompson dot com site. Still says "Lynn C. Thompson is the President of Cold Steel Inc. and the Chief Instructor of Cold Steel’s training division."

I also didn't know this -

"Growing up the son of a farmer in rural Brazil before re-locating to the USA, where he learned to speak English, and to hunt!". I always thought Lynn just appeared from the ether, fully grown, forging knives with his bare hands from the elements of the universe.

or this !

"Over the years he has provided training and instruction for members of the DEA and the FBI, the world-famous Gunsite Academy, as well as members of our nations special forces."

Man amongst men -

"becoming the first person to take the Big 5 and the Dangerous 7 with a handgun and iron sights!"

had no idear lynn was Brazilian born and raised. interesting. kinda knew about his accomplishments though.

I have been a cold steel fan since the early 90's. I have purchased many blades over the years and put them through the test. (Cleared an entire acre of weeds with an emperor katana..no kidding.) Huge fan, but not so much lately.
Gsm I don't know who you are, but for the first time in cs history you broke me. I ordered a wakasashi trainer for my 8yr old son, graduating his first bushido class. It was a Christmas present due dec 2nd. Not only did i wait 3 days to get through, they didnt even have my order in the computer. After i provided reciept and proof money was exchanged, I am still waiting all month and no call back. gsm you ruined it for me. ...p.s. I just bought the last immortal ctx, and you screw me with a trainer,..Bad form.
