New guy and already going crazy

Welcome!
Now Run!!
I just got snagged for dipping into the $avings account. It's gonna be a long cold winter in the dog house. :(
:D

I always say I am not going to buy anymore. So far I have stopped at 4. I really want a Bushwacker though. It kills me to see one sitting there waiting for me to order it at $350. I know later I will be kicking my self when I see one of those skinnies selling for $600.

Mokes, where do you live? Maybe you can meet up with some piglets in your area, and check out different Busse blades.

Hi all,

Just got off the phone with Amy over at Busse. Great personality and very helpful.

I have no idea how in my 37 years I have missed the boat on these and other knives, but I have found my way here now, lol. My poor, poor wife.

Thankfully, I cannot afford a Busse yet as the tree-cutting season is wrapping up shortly. Thankfully for my wife that is. Personally, I am shaking trying to keep from ordering a Mistress, or seeing if I can get an older model made, lol.

I do a LOT of fishing both ocean and fresh, and I hunt deer in the fall quite a bit. I have always been looking for a special knife I can love and cherish. I think Busse might be the company I have been looking for.

I would ask what people think about the Mistress, but I can already tell it's a pointless question.

This is a great forum, so I'll be on a lot trying to catch up and learn all I can before I call Busse back to order up my baby.

Nice to meet everyone!! :D

It was great talking to you today and if you need anything just give me call:):)

Massachusetts. Surprised I can still own a knife here, lol.

One thing I have been eyeing too are some of these sweet sheathes some of the people around here have with a firesteel added to it! Man....that is a great idea! Is that all custom made stuff?

Amy directed me to a couple knives on Hogcult to see for a good gutting/hunting knife but there are sooooo many there, lol.

I'm ALMOST leaning towards a GameskeeperII by Bark River though since it's a 5inch blade and skinnier. Kinda rather go with a Busse, but not sure if he makes a knife for that purpose?

Thanks for the fine welcome everyone!! And thanks again Amy...you'll hear from me sooner than later, lol.

Mokes, check out the Busse knife reviews at Knifetest.com or on Youtube. After watching the videos of the destruction test a few weeks ago I asked myself the same question," How did I miss the boat on these knives all this time?"

There are some piglets in Mass, maybe one will reach out.

Specify for us what you want the knife to do, and folks can help recommend models. I know that lunde has used his Satin Jack TAC (SJTAC) to gut antelope on his annual hunt. That's a 6" blade. Many people use a Game Warden in the field.

Welcome to the madness, i've been here a little over a year and i'm the proud owner of 32 Busse knives and damn glad about it !

You now need to do a covert operation. Go the the PO and discreetly open a PO Box so your wife/GF doesn't see boxes arriving weekly!

Resistence is futile! Get a SAR 4, and use the hell out of it. I love using mine. That is the one that will get you wanting more! By the way, Welcome to the forums!
