Thanks, Croissant. That's a good-looking reverse tanto. I was torn between that blade shape and the wharncliffe, but ultimately ended up with the wharny. I'm liking it.Very nice choice! Just saw this, but check out the Hogue Doug Ritter RSK. It is a thumbstud knife and virtually identical to axis lock (BM patent expired). There's some models that have been out in 20CV (M390/204P equivalent), but he has also recently done both manual and auto versions with MagnaCut. I love mine and feel its as good as my Benchmade knives. He designed the Ritter Grip/Mini-Grip with BM, but they parted ways several years ago and he now partners with Hogue. It is a very functional blade design. Thanks MolokaiRider. The 940 was a gift from my wife in 2001 to replace a pre-production model I somehow lost at dinner one night. While it does have sentimental value, I also just really like the shape, the axis lock, and I've always been a fan of a thumbstud knife.
What is that fixed blade with your SHF? And J jfaulk the folder on the bottom there is a Spartan Harsey Folder. Run away now, or you will fall in love with one of their standard titanium, black DLC or custom graphics models. But there's so many options, you can't just choose one, ask me how I know....I’m late to the party - J jfaulk Welcome to Blade Forums ( there are worse addictions ).
Here’s a picture of some knives - we love pictures of knives around here.

I tried out a small sebenza 31, it was tiny. I have large hands so it was no bueno. Luckily I got back out of it what I put in. I'm a 3.5" and larger kind of guy, and much to my wallet's dismay, I have discovered SHFs fit my bill perfectly. I have two, and two more on the wayI handled a Sebenza today. Still don't like it. I could have used this warning several hundred dollars ago... they are fantastic and in hand some of the most beautiful knives I've experienced. What is that fixed blade with your SHF? I searched for a Plague Doctor for a long time, especially working in FD/EMS through COVID. I had kinda given up and got a Watch Works edition. Due to the insane OT hours I work, it also meant something extra to me that “Time Waits for No Man” and not to waste it. Shortly after, a Plague Doctor came in stock at MSRP from an authorized dealer and of course I had to get that one also. The one on the way is a blue plague doctor, a forum member was kind enough to give me a preview before he listed it. Edit: and I just saw your comment on size, I also have large hands and find it fits me perfectly. The large Sebenza just barely lets me get a 4 finger grip, anything smaller and I’m not a fan either. Most of my knives are in the 3.5-4” range also.
I think you made the right choice with the wharncliffe. I bought a blue reverse tanto when they were really hard to find in the beginning, and then ended up winning the black one in a raffle, yet my heart has kind of always been with the wharncliffe instead. One day maybe I'll trade the blue one for a wharnie, I can't get rid of the black one because it's a special edition in 3v.Thanks, Croissant. That's a good-looking reverse tanto. Sweet looking blades everyone. The Spartans are quite nice. A colleague has a few of their fixed blades, and is friends with the spartan knives crew. Luethge, what fixed blade is that? She's a beaut.
