New guy needs skinner

Everyone will recommend Dozier, and you'll probably be very happy with one, but these in D2 steel will give you the same skinning performance (if not better), have better fit and finish, and cost a little less. If you like the Green River knife the #1 Skinner should fit you perfectly.

I used a #1 Drop Point through last year's hunting and trapping seasons and I've never had anything hold an edge as well. The only real drawback is his wait but the knives are more than well worth it.

http://www.geocities.com/porchswings/ is the home page where you can get contact info.
Thank you!! Good info. :)

Alright alright fellas let'sdozier stop harassingdozier the new guy. This is supposed to bedozier a place where everyone feels justified indozier their own opinion.

Nic-

dozier

Ya, sure, everyone talks a good game about what great knives Dozier makes (and he does) but his sheaths..... his sheaths. Lets talk about his sheaths. He IS the king of kydex!

Works of art in their simplicity, durable construction and functional design. They hold onto a knife with the tenacity of a pitbull, yet yield to the light pressure of a strategically placed finger (please, no proctologist jokes!) and allow effortless withdrawl.

Without question he makes some of the best knives out there, but his sheaths are a fitting compliment to them.

Say Buzz, is that a DOZIER ?

Currently own both, Dozier and Ingram knives. The wife bought the Dozier to replace the one lost on PCS back from Korea and I purchased the Ingram. The Dozier Professional Skinner handle is a little more ergonomic and the blade thicker, making the knife feel a little heavy, robust and very strong. The Ingram is a 3 ¾” Shortcut the handle is very comfortable but not as ergonomic as the D., the blade is thinner and better finished, consequently the knife is lighter and better balanced (my opinion), the thinner blade makes it the better slicer. My opinion is that the Ingram is the better value, but both are excellent options.

I'd recognize "Doris" anywhere! My PGK is in love with her, and wants to get "Straight Personal" with her!

I'd like to know that too.

That knife is Doris, my stag handled Dozier Straight Hunter. It is the best knife I've ever owned, and my only knife to actually have a name. It is perfection.
