New guy to Buck fever needs a skinner- 103 or 113?

I'd like to get a 103 and have the blade clipped. I've seen these in the past and they look really cool. If anybody has a picture of this knife I'd love to see it again.

There isn't much to modifying some knives. Whether in salvaging one or just playing around.
My brother somehow broke the tip off this 470 Mentor so I spent 30 minutes or so playing with it hooked up to a Lansky clamp sharpening system. Came out ok. Could have played with shaping the belly some more. Showing it with a normal one. They both live in Moms kitchen drawer.

Just an example of playing around.

There are a couple (2) knife-sized packages wrapped up with my name on them under the tree. I'm more excited about Christmas morning than my five year old son is. Its killing me.

Jeff, What ever it is could you make pictures and tell us what you think after you're allowed to open them. DM

I used the new 113 to dress a doe this year and it worked great. How it works as a skinner I cant say, my nephew processed it.

If I don't get the 113 this year, I'm picking one up soon. I don't know if I would ever actually need it for hunting since I suspect I'll have a 103 in a few days, but it's a great little knife at a great price. It fits perfectly in the series with the 110, 112 and 55. What's need got to do with it anyway. Its a cool knife period.

 to what you said... It's a very cool knife...I wanted one for a while based on looks alone. When I finally got one and felt it in hand, I just had to get a second one :D

Ok, the two knife-sized boxes under the tree - are not knives. That's the only hint I was given on those. The knives were in the box they let me open last night!!!

The box contained:
A Buck 103! (The one I asked for)
And...
a Buck 112!! (I suspected that I was already getting this one)
And...
a Buck 113!!! (I had no idea, but I was talking about it an awful lot)
AND...
a Buck 505!!!! (Total shocker. Not really for hunting, but what a beautiful little fella it is!)

But wait... there's more....
Also a Wyoming Take-Apart Saw with leather case!!!!!
And a nice book on gutting and a butchering deer!

I'll post another thread when I take some pictures. Right now I'm overwhelmed and there are only 8 hunting days left in the season. I need to get busy getting a couple of these knives messy.

Great gifts. That Wyoming Saw is nice (they make different sizes). I wanted one for years then by chance stumbled on to Buck's model 154 the Saw Buck and am pleased but they both work fine. DM
