New Guy

Shit...I'M SCREWED!!! Seriously though, thanks for the welcome and all of the advice. You guys really know how to work the Mrs.'s! This place is great! Thanks for the pics too. I have been waiting for this knife for a while and it will be here tomorrow. I'm going to cut the hell out of everything in the garage. I have a small handful of pocket knives right now but none of which have really done it for me except for one. That would be an old Spyderco that I have had for about fifteen years and have beat the hell out of it. Broke the tip and reshaped it (half-ass), been wade fishing in the salt countless times with no rust, and pried on things that should have had a prybar on them and the thing is still solid. Not sure the model. I'll throw a pic up and hopefully get an ID from someone. Once I started doing a little research and getting in to this madness I naturally went looking for a Spyderco and found the PM2 seems to be the one for me now. I did however come close to buying an Osborne 940. It took me a month to decide on one of the two!

Welcome! Be sure to let us know how you like the PM2. Certainly a good first choice. The 940 would have been a good choice as well. After you cut up everything in your garage I suggest you look at a Spyderco SharpMaker to put a good edge back on the PM2. You can tell your wife the SharpMaker is needed to maximize your "investment" in a PM2.

Thanks. Turns out the knife didn't show up today. USPS is horrible like that. I have taken a look at the sharpmaker and it seems pretty nice. I have an old lansky system that has seen better days so I just ordered a new one with the diamond hones. I'm sure I'll end up with a sharpmaker in the near future though.
