Yes. Steehead run is winding down here now. Walleye time now.

My father is (or was) a big time walleye fisherman. Back when he had a boat he would take an annual trip to Erie (Port Clinton). 2 years ago he sold his Ranger 690C fisherman, then had a heart attack a year later. He just doesn't have it in him to haul and prepare a boat for long trips. He's only 58, makes me sad. He's finally getting out and going up to the Peshtigo river (north of Green Bay) with his best friend for walleye season. They're doing a charter deal.

I grew up fishing between here (northwest burbs of Chicago) and Galveston, TX. Welcome to the forums. Prepare to open your mind and empty your wallet.

Welcome, this is a great place. Sounds like the Traditional section might be your cup of tea. There is an insane amount of knowledge there (and everywhere else for that matter).

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Couple more hours of work then off to the post office to pick up the newest addition. Victorinox harvester. Been on an alox kick lately. Glad I found one. Been collecting for awhile, and just got into the alox sak's. Some seem a bit out of budget though.

Hey steelheader welcome. I also joined recently after reading and learning for yrs. Knife collecting is truly addicting but better than the other ones I've struggled with. I'm still trying to figure out the pic thing on here and need to upgrade to gold. I'm not a much of techno guy. But I check this forum @ least 6 times a day.
