Ordered a tommy hawk from Steve at Coal Creak Forge last week that arived Monday night. Tuesday I made a sheath for it based off another forum members design, can't remember his name, but I thank him for the idea. Any ways I wanted to share some pictures with you. Sheath was made from 8-9oz Veggy tanned leather, colored with two coats of Tandy's Saddle Tan Gel Antique and stitched with Bardours Linen thread.
First the pictures Steve sent me:
And now for my pictures with it's new home made sheath:
I picked that piece of leather because it was rinckled and had what looked like could be some good grain lines. Worked out better then I could have hoped. Thanks for looking and feel free to let me know what you think. Thanks,
Heber
