New Hawk, well sorta

This is one I forged a while back, the handle wasnt' fully dry and shrunk enough that I made a new haft for it. Let the roughed out haft sit by the fire place for a couple of months, it's dry as it's gonna get now.

2 1/2" cutting edge, L-6 head forged from 3/4" round bar, 18 3/4" carved hickory haft.

Will, that is great. Love the blanket too! Did you burn the design into the handle? Nice touch, very classy. I hope you keep some of these for yourself.

actualy no, I used a Dremel with a ball engraver bit on the end, then between finishing coats I painted the engraving with black paint to highlight it.
