new hawk

I made this hawk for a repeat customer and member of this forum.. 1095 steel, hickory handle with sinew wraps..I will make the sheath tonight..

I quenched the edge only. Leaving the body softer allows it to handle more abuse IMHO.. Glad that you like it.

How DID you quench the edge? I'm planning on trying to heat-treat a number of too-soft 'hawks, and am interested in enough detailed input to let this complete novice do so with success.
