I haven't heard a specific name, some one here mentioned Knob Razor. Mud Razor is essentially a Hell Razor with out the CBT. The new one (Knob Razor) has neither CBT or fuller, so I guess that name is fitting since it was debuted at Knob Creek. .

Knob Razor?! We need to find a better name than that. And quickly!

Smooth Razor

Flat Razor (It looks like a flat grind in the pics)

Anything but Knob Razor. Jerry, Garth - chime in here before your latest creation is christened with the worst name in history.

Back on topic, the NM idea doesn't do it for me. I reckon the Hell/Mud/Smooth/Flat Razor looks so mean because of its short, sharp shape.

Chris.

Check out the pictures on the one for sale on that auction site with black and yellow handles. I swear it looks like a high hollow grind, and not a full flat grind. RussMo need to put a ruler across his from the blade edge to spine to see if these are in fact flat or hollow.

Can't, it's in transit as of tomorrow. I want see it for until maybe Saturday or Monday of next week.

OK cool, let us know.

Here are a couple of photos that I borrowed from the one listed on that auction site. Unless it is an optical illusion, looks hollow to me.

More pics to scrutinize, now notice the plunge line. Also look at the shading, I say if it is a hollow is is very slight. BUT I have seen two knives same model have different grinds, soooooooooooooo it is what it is!!! Look at the black blade and you see the same thing as in your pics. Yet look at the green and the grind flows right off the spine.

So is Busse calling the KC version a Hell Razor? Looks more like a Mud Razor to me without the fuller.

Chris.

Hey Chris, I have know idea. I just called it that for lack of a better name. I don't really know much about the Hell Razor other than that I like it :). I'm really digging the Knob Creek version. I hope they release it soon. It would make for an awesome Christmas gift :).

I thought the Mud Razor was cause it was brown on brown :o.

Hey Les, this ain't a 1st rodeo for either of us and we have pounded down those same street regarding blades. One more thing to consider, look at the pommel end coating. The black is definitely thicker and I would surmise it is along the spine as well. Given the lighting it might appear to be a hollow. But again I've been bitten before!!!

I had a MUD-Razor before and it was for the most part just like the HR but no CBT. Now with that said from the spind to the grove the thickness of the blade stock remained .200, then you had the groove and then the tapper to the 2ndary edge, and then final edge. So if the NEW Razor is true to form at .200 at the spine on a flat grind the tapper will begin there and drop slowely to the 2ndary grind. So in reality the blade stock will be thinner below the groove than it would be on a MUD-Razor

As you said, it is what it is. It may be these were old HR blanks that they decided to do something with. We may never actually see a regular release of another Razor model. Only Jerry really knows...

Yea, as soon as I get it or someone else who scored pops some shots and measurements, be glad to Bro!!!

I dunno about that new one....looks a little plain without the fuller and CBs. Bring em both out again. Maybe put a blood groove on the new one?
