New Helle knife!

I like it too. Helle is new to me but admit I am a newb. Sure looks like it could handle some tough tasks.

It is pretty thin, compared to some of the prybars out there, but I imagine that it cuts like hell! And looks pretty while doing it!

Now you have to do a full test report like Deadboxhero does !
I have a few Helle knives , earliest was given to me as a little kid 1947 ! Carbon steel ,3.5" simple but efficient design, a great small game knife. A keeper for more than one reason.
You'll have to find the best uses , get good photos . Thanks for posting.

Helle knives are great and cut like crazy. I've used several of their blade blanks and love them. Their laminated blades will shave the hair off a gnats arse. But as you said, they are NOT prybars (actually no knife is). Just be sure you sharpen them properly (Scandi style).

I have mid size fixed blade from Helle and let me say, this knife is like a razor blade,,,,, sharpest knife I own, it holds its edge razor sharp despite significant use, you can keep cutting and there no sign of edge getting dull... It's blade is one of the finest ones I have,(I can't recall the name of the model, as they look very similar to each other and the one I have was made in late 90's,but is very similar to current model Lappland hunting knife) . Leather sheaths Helle make are tough rigid and keep knife tightly fixed within.Wooden handle have great grip and is warm and friendly to feel in hand....This knife is probably able to cut the hair into few pieces along its length :) One of the best knives I have, no competition when it comes to sharpness

I haven't bought it yet, just wanted to give it some attention since I thought it looked invredible, and noone else had started a thread on it!But I feel it will be a great companion to my Strømeng, so this one is the one I'm goong to buy next!

It will be to the Strømeng what my Izula is to my esee 4 :)

Looks like they are only $189 or so in the US. Might have to pick up a bakers dozen.

The good news: I ordered it, and it's on it's way! The less then good news: it's scheduled to arrive at tuesday, app. at the same time waking up after getting surgery in my lower back.. So it will probably take some time before I get to really use it.. But at least I will have something to look forward to!

$189 seems pretty spendy compared to what you get and the rest of their lineup. Doesn't add up for me. Nice looking little blade though and I'm sure it's well made.

Hey P3.. Congrats on the Helle.. And best wishes on your surgery..

Kool knife, but out of my price range!! Try to stay under $100.00 with my knife purchases.. John

Mr. Stroud has to get his cut. ;)

It's a norwegian knife, and I live in Norway, so it's not that expensive here :) it's around 120 dollars locally.. When I buy Esee or other american knives it's usually 20-30 dollars in shipping and 25% in taxes, so knives is expensive anyway.. :(

Had surgery yesterday, got out today. Straight to the drugstore before the post office! Took some photos with the Mândra and the izula and candiru (and a small brusletto..). My back isn't quite ready to go to the woods yet, but it is sharp, with a good, solid 3 finger grip with the pinky supported around the tang. I can also get a good 3.5-4-finger grip, i think, but I have to test it to see
if this will work
