Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. My name's Luke Smith and I've been making knives for a few months now. I've been lurking on here for awhile and finally decided to register. I make fixed blade knives, mostly smaller bladed skinners and drop point knives.

I wanted to post a pic of one of my latest knives but can't? I've mostly been selling on ebay, but I was wondering if makers on here feel it's worth it to buy a subscription and sell knives on here.

Thanks!
Luke Smith

just want to say welcome to the forum,
can ad much,
cause, I have not post any knife
for sale on the forum yet

best regards

I would have to say yes. Probably the best money I've spent in the last few years. People who shop here on this forum in the for sale section know custom knives and their worth. You get your asking price. Can list as many knives as you wish. No listing fee's and no final sale fee's. I have sold many knives here. I do highly recommend signing up.

Posting a pic here is fairly simple. First go to advanced reply.( auto if your posting a new thread). Next load pic into a file on your computer. Now click on the paper-clip at the top of the message box. A box will come up, hit browse. Go to the file and double click the pic. Then click download. Next hit preview post. Now scroll down to the additional items box, your pic will be in the attach files section. Double click on the pic. A box will come up with the picture and the pic address across the top. Copy the address and close the box. Now click on the square box with the mountain on it above the message box. A window will open.Delete the http// in the window and paste the copied pic address there. Now the pic is in the post.
Important to keep pics under 100 kb.

I don't have a paperclip. Maybe I have to have a certain number of posts before I can attach images? And I am going to sign up as a maker, just gotta transfer money from paypal to my bank account:D

I'm pretty sure when you select "Upgrade your forum experience" at the top of this page and get the "knifemaker" subscription you recieve lots of upgrades including posting photos and selling your knives. Good Luck!

Don't forget after you upgrade to go to "User CP" and then I think paid memberships or something and select the one you want to appear under your name. Remember that some places, your displayed membership status has to match the requirement for the at section.

Well, I upgraded my forum experience, so here's a couple of my knives! They'll be in the for sale forum also
The first has a 4" blade, about 8 1/2" overall. It's 1/8" 1095 steel, hollow ground blade with vine pattern filework. The handles are cocobolo with red spacers.

The second is an "onion skinner", a pattern I got from a knifemaking friend, Lonnie Hyatt. It has a 3 1/2" blade, about 7 1/4 or so overall. It's also 1/8" 1095 steel, hollow ground, also with fine pattern filework. The handles on it are Tambotie, or African Sandalwood also with red spacers.

So, how do you guys like them?
