Howdy folks! I have been slowly pulled into an interest in knives over that last couple of years, and this place always comes up in my research. It seems that there are lots of great members and lots of good information on this site. I look forward to being a small part of the fun!

Ethan.
Welcome Ethan. There is never ending knowledge here to be gained. Whether reading, chatting, pictures, history, Q&A, friendships to be made, every day brings you the opportunity for more. Start at your own pace, but have fun.

I too would suggest that once you get your feet wet, you should consider upgrading your membership level to Gold ($30 for a year and it cancels ads, lets you PM other members, picture loading is a breeze, you can list and sell, etc..). Once again, welcome.

Welcome to the addiction!!! This is a hobby that keeps the knives coming and your money going.

I agree with everyone's comments. All true! I started collecting a few years ago and was reading this site on and off before signing up. Reading about this great steel and that, and finding new brands. I upgraded to one of the newer steels to try and liked it. Ended up getting a pricier, fancier one of the same steel. And an even better steel was next. And then it was the pics. Wow, some are beautiful that I had never seen. Jumped on one of those just because of the looks. It was a short and expensive first few months. I thought about it after a specific thread on here and realized why I started collecting in the first place. Sure there will be one here and there just for fun, but I am sticking to my original path of knives. Thought I was correcting myself and saving from having just a crapload of just random knives. It's just unfortunate that I found a few online sites that sell what I was, and am looking to collect. Figures. I must admit though, it is fun. And yes, can be expensive.

Run! Run as fast as you can.
Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars.

This place gets under your skin very easily. It won’t be long before you have an empty wallet and your significant other will want to go out on the town and you’ll say, “ We can’t because I bought a SAK, Sabenza, Mora, DPx, CRKT, Kershaw...”

Well, you get the idea.

Welcome aboard. You are among friends.

Welcome aboard!

If your experience here is anything like mine, you'll love it. There's an almost endless supply of knowledge. I've been here a little more than a year and still feel like I haven't scratched the surface.

The only "downside" is some of these guys sell stuff that I can't say no to. :D

You might have come to talk about knives, but I think you'll stay because of the people here.
