Hello. I apologize I think I originally posted this on someone else’s thread.

Been a knife user most my life. From scouts, to recreation, military, to now starting a collection.

My favorites are the classic older slip joints and lock backs. Can’t beat Case Trappers and Buck 110/112s.

Also I would post my collection. But can’t seem to figure out how to post pictures from my phone. Seems to only want a web address?

Anyway. Thank you! I can’t wait to learn more from everyone! And possibly see what my collection is missing 😉

Welcome!

Scorch marks are a badge of membership.

As for what your collection is missing...? Oh, lordy. How much time do you have?

Some people... well okay, a whole lot of people, are going to declare that no collection should be without a Chris Reeve Sebenza and a Spyderco Paramilitary.

I have my own philosophical reasons for not being one of those people. Most of those reasons are because I've asked too much of knife blades and framelocks in the past, to my own lasting apprehension.

I can’t find out how to post pics here. But I’m looking for the right paramilitary. I used to have a Chris Reeves Green Beret. But gifted it to a sailor I mentored when I got out. Wish I still had it. Both sentiment and monetary value. But it meant the world that I left it behind for him. So it’s worth it.

Your collection sounds perfectly fine to me. I love the look of is trappers and 110/112s, they just don't suit me functionally. They could, but I've become picky over the years and prefer to be lazy I guess. Lol

Oh and welcome in new here myself.
I do have others. There’s a tool for every occasion kinda thing. I have some modern flippers. But seem to favor the classics.

I grew up with my grandfather being one of those cheesy saying kinda guys. But looking back there’s so many that make more sense now. Among my favorites are
1. Any man worth his weight can do any task with a Case Trapper. (While I appreciate the ease of work with other blades. He instilled a love of the Trappers and what they can do)

And

2. Invest in 3 things. A good hat, good boots, and a good knife.
A good hat can hide a lot from the eyes of God. You’ll need a good pair of boots to outrun the Devil. And a good knife to ensure you don’t meet either.

If you buy a membership you can post pictures right from your phone, and there are other benefits. Otherwise you need a 3rd party host.
Probably a silly question but how does one do that? I’ve read the how to post pictures threads and can’t figure it out

Edited to add, I think I got it. Never said I was right Bright!

Id say it means just as much to him. Something from a mentor always Carries a special sentiment

Oh that’s not me! I can’t figure out how to post pics yet. But I do have a cool 1972ish 110. As well as a case hammerhead and mako!
Lol. You’ll figure it out. I don’t know how to post pictures without a paid membership. Just that you need a third party host.

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your service.

Here's a link in tech support about posting pictures. Imgur seems to be used by most.

The easiest way is if you buy a membership you can post directly from your device and don't have to use a hosting site.
