New Hidden Tang Knife for BF Member

Here is another new one I just finished up today. It is a hidden tang knife for a fellow BF member. Hopefully, he sees this post.

Specs as follows

5/32" O-1 tool steel differently heat treated
8 3/4" OAl
4" edge length
1 1/8" wide
Fully Flat Ground to .018" at the edge
Handle is a combo of Olive canvas and black canvas micarta

This should make a fine wilderness/bush knife. All comments are welcome.

Great knife ,I love hidden tangs I think they are as tough or at least very close to as tough as a full tang and they have better balance.

Am I the only one who thinks of late 80's gangster Rap every time I see an NWA knife?
 
Good looking knife. I am a bigger fan of full tang knives myself, but your work is always excellent. Maybe I will have to order one from you soon...
 
Copy that Rockywolf:thumbup: I prefer tham as well. But this one does balance great, like Unsub said.

It sure is a lot more work to make one this way, but I really like the results. I couldn't have done it without the Mill I recently procured:thumbup:

The last pic has some smudges on the handle, from me playing around with it. I can't seem to put this one down.

Nice! I like exposed tangs, and your finger guard is hands down my favorite design. One of these days, I'll need to get on your wait list.

I know all to well, about the N.W.A. thing. But, I was on scene, long before the Gangsta Rap stuff started. It is funny though, to have the same initals as something that so many people can relate to. Let alone, the North West Airlines.
