I feel like I've been out of it for a while on the knife side of things, but I'm slowly getting back.
I took an intensive stone setting class last month, and that has helped me out of my funk it seems.
I thought I'd like to incorporate something I learned (well, learned the right way) in that class into a knife,
so I started playing with the idea of flush setting a stone into one of my textured handles.
It's not something that I can do on all of my textures because of the unevenness of the surfaces,
but this one has enough open space that I was able to do it, and I really like the results.

The stone is a 2.5mm lab grown sapphire. The table of the stone (the flat on top) sits just barely above the surface,
and the culet (the pointy end of the stone) doesn't protrude into the inside of the handle, so you don't have to worry about
it scratching the blade or getting chipped.

• blade is 1084
• textured and oxidized copper handle (there is a subtle micro texture too that you can see in the last picture)
• 2.5mm lab grown sapphire
• .005" bronze washers
• stainless pin
• leather pocket sheath

• 6 3/4" open
• 3 7/8" closed (not including the flipper)
• 2 3/4" edge
• 3/32" at the spine of the blade
• 15/16" wide at the widest

••• $325 + $10 shipping in the US •••
