Here is the final proto of the new Hunter, 9" overall, 4" sharp. First run will be Crucible Ardi 150, and enhanced version of D-2, .150 thick. Flat ground with a thin edge this will be a cutting fool! Taking pre orders, hopefully this knife will be available in 90 days or so. Knife is shown with an itty bitty keychain knife. :)

Please tell us more about the keychain knife.

The Hunter looks great but I am being pushed toward small by work.

Sweet Jesus that's a nice knife!!!!! :D  :D

Here you go posting pics of the new Hunter model two days before my birthday. Very clever. Now I think I know what I'd like to get.

What SDouglas said.

I NEED A QUALITY KEYCHAIN KNIFE!!!

That one speaks to me.

Blues, like you said a long time ago, Big Pikuni good! :)

Nobody, got you down man!

Scott, the key chain knife is something I have played around with for a while. I got inspired at the Vegas Classic show when I seen some similar knives made by Jeff Hall that were very sweet. If there is enough interest I may make a Mid-Tech version. In the meantime I am just using up odds and ends laying around putting good steel to use. It could also be a neck knife with a longer chain. Ive been packing it in my shirt pocket. :)

I agree that the little knife looks really handy and pretty ergonomic for it's size. You still gotta have the bigger one though, so you can reach the peanut butter at the bottom of the jar when your hunt goes badly... :(

I meant to ask if you think DLC will be an option on the new hunter? Seems like that would be a little nice extra metal protection for the semi-stainless D2.

You can consider one of those smaller knives sold to me when you decide to make it.

Are you still making the fixed blade Gunting as well?

HJK, Ill be getting in touch with you soon. :)

Be looking for the key chain size ones soon. Ill post more on that as I know more. :)

I have had my eye on a Pikuni for a while, and I am glad I have held off. Big Pikuni good, indeed!

Can you say what they'll cost for the first run? Any future editions planned? Any costs planned for those?

I really like that, question though,is that basically an urban raven without the upper gaurd?or is the UR different?

Good eye Marsupial, they do share a lot of the same stuff. Here is a picture of them together.

TC, they are slated for $179.

Thanks for that side by side Mr Simonich, most likely I will pick up one of those at the blade show in June!

I had recently traded e-mails with you regarding the Crowfoot. However, after seeing the Hunter, I think that is the first Simonich I want to get! Especially at the price you're shooting for.

Please keep me in mind when production starts.

Thanks!
