Here is the new quenchant chiller I made to address the two problems that my last one had:
1) use of copper (Kevin Cashen pointed out that some of the Houghton products cannot be used with copper)
2) condensation dripped into the quenchant.
The new chiller is all stainless with a condensation trap.
The 5-gal bucket on the left is filled with ice water; the chiller assembly is dropped into the quench tank (there is a clip, like a belt clip, to hold the chiller at the desired depth).
