As known by many fans, there are many new models will be released in 2017. T1 is one of them.

Designer: Uli Hennicke
As a born craftsman in Germany, Uli founds the smithy and forges a true calling. He is the founder of the Hohenmoorer Messermanufaktur and equally at home in the kitchen or in the wild woods, Uli is always thinking of the art of the edge while seeking the next inspiration.

The T1 features ceramic ball bearings and ceramic detent ball.
The blade thickness is 3mm / 0.12"

Could we see some photos of the Uli with the Gemini for comparison?

Wow -- and thanks!

Lately, I've tried to limit myself to folders that are 3-inches or under. But I still love the Gemini and since the Uli is the same size I may have a hard time saying "no."

I'm very much into 3" blade (local legal limit) flippers weighing under 4 ounces (the heaviest I carry weighs 3.75 ounces). T1 has very nice lines and it's very tempting although it's outside of my criteria.

T1 has no flipper tab, the balde length is 3.25" (0.12" thick), S35VN (which I like), titanium frame lock with steel lock bar insert, titanium clip and weighing 4.39 ounces.

One of my favorite folders of all-time is the Kizer Mini Intrepid. It has a 3" blade of M390 (0.12" thick), bearings flipper, titanium frame lock with steel lock bar insert, titanium clip and weighing only 3.05 ounces.

Nice looking knife. Saw it on BHQ this morning. Thought, 'now, how the heck did I miss THAT?'
Only thing off-putting is I am getting a bit tired of that standard decorative pivot. Looks fine on some knives like the Gemini, but out of place on the more "toolish" knives like this T1 and particularly, does not work (IMHO) on the Escort.
(Hint, hint...Kizer!)
Think I might pick up the T1, despite the pivot. :)

I worry that the weaker detent, required by the thumb stud, might result in the knife opening in the pocket.

I like the mini intrepid too, and am really liking the looks of the T1 as well. Might it be a Gemini replacement for me? Not sure yet, I do love the Gemini. Quick note regarding your criteria, you should check out the Lionsteel TRE flipper, I just picked one up and really like it (has TI/G10 scales, 2.91 inch M390 blade, weighs 2.19 ozs)

Absolutely no need to worry about that! It is far from being too weak!
I carried the prototype of this model for almost one month and am 100% convinced that it will not open accidentally in your pocket.
