New Item Delivery Dates and Information

I am glad to see the scallion now being offered in the rainbow finish. Any chance on a boron coated scallion?

I'm looking forward to those composite blades Thomas.
Can't wait for specs.

I have to say, all you guys at Kershaw are doing an absolutely fantastic job of making good knives for the budget minded in the U.S.A.
Thank you.
I'll have to pick up a bunch of Skylines for birthday presents etc...

The new year will bring 2 new regular production composite blades JJ. Both a Leek and a JYD II will be offered (images soon).
There are plan's for a family of composite blades that will take seed, with the above two along with the Tyrade being the start.

Our focus for the future is more and more USA manufacturing. We feel the quality along with the consistency of the product produced here domestically is what is best for us and our customer. Now sub $50 (MSRP) USA made folders are a challenge to produce, but they are possible. The Skyline and Need's Work are two recent examples of that. $50 street can be done regularly.

We will continue to import from our facility in China, but it will add up to no more than 10% of our overall offerings.

At this point we are dedicated and driven with USA production. This will only intensify in the future, as there are plans for a factory expansion here in Oregon. I'm also convinced that "Made in the USA" means more than ever to the consumer.

Amen Thomas. Now more than ever, made in the USA is important to me. Kershaw is leading the way as far as I am concerned.

I need to stop coming into this thread, I like one leek and one leek only, the composite, it is just so amazing, I have fallen in love with the blade. After my speed bump arrives (ordered it yesterday, so STOKED) I'll start saving up for a composite leek.

Are there any plans in the works for a serrated bump, or a serrated knife with the composite blade?

Thomas....... I pre-ordered a Tyrade in Oct.....still waiting for it...can you tell me when there might be more available.
would be much appreciated

Thomas, are we still looking at late Feb, early March on the OCC Leeks? I'm in line at the pharmacy for one, and just wondered if you'd let us know when they ship.

Thanks,

SPX

I hope one of those couple a hundred Tyrade's makes it to the place I pre-ordered mine from in early November. :)

Thomas......Can you spill any beans for anymore variations of the Shallot...Titanium,carbon,boron,.....anything at all.....cmon man, satisfy our hunger!!! lol

seriously though....I know we hound you to death.....and I know you probably have a bazillion secrets you keep from us that you'd just love to tell but Cant.
Tell us what you can without getting into trouble and know that all us junkies much appreciate anything you feed us.
I work in the Motorcycle industry so I know all about the secrets you keep about new models.

Well as far as Shallot's go, pretty sure you will see a boutique run with a composite blade...a ZDP189/13C26 version. I believe it's scheduled for this summer, so it's a little way out on the production schedule.

Oh why oh why did I just disclose that? Let's just keep this between us and not talk anymore about it, ok?
