New Item Delivery Dates and Information

Any info on the Damascus Chive?

My DAM Leek is waiting for a little brother :)

haha!
I can't afford that many little brothers right now. :grumpy:

Judging from what Thomas said earlier(as I recall), the Chive is due out very soon.
Within the next 30 days??? Thomas?

The Damascus Chive (1600DAM) is in process now, so I expect them in May. Should be right at 500 pieces.

Yes. Scallions are slated for a later date, also using the ladder pattern damascus.

LOL I am going to have to have some fancy footwork here myself to get the one past the Wife :)

Outstanding! One of them has my name on it :) Just have to smuggle it in past the "no new Knives" embargo placed by my better half.

Well as far as Shallot's go, pretty sure you will see a boutique run with a composite blade...a ZDP189/13C26 version. I believe it's scheduled for this summer, so it's a little way out on the production schedule.

Oh why oh why did I just disclose that? Let's just keep this between us and not talk anymore about it, ok?

I didn't hear anything you just said, and it wasn't the best news I've heard in my entire life. As you can see I'm a huge fan of the Shallot as well as the Composite-Edge designs, and I don't think the idea of two things coming together has been this awesome since they "crossed the streams" at the end of Ghostbusters...:D

I have to say, Thomas, that it was really the amazing online community that convinced me that Kershaw was the brand for me (OK, the knives helped ;)) and your making such regular and well-written posts seems to be the heart of that community. It really gives me a lot of respect for you and your company that you take the time to chat with (and occasionally disclose trade secrets to ;)) your devoted fans.

Can't wait for the (entirely hypothetical ) release this summer... hope it doesn't eat up too many of my paychecks... :D

Thanks for the kind words Zindaras. Now you did noticed I used the words "pretty sure" when talking about the CB Shallot. Gotta CMA around here. ;)

So I hope that means 'later than summer' and not that the composite Shallots won't be made.

Sorry to be so impatient, but are there any photos of the ZT auto's yet? I just want a glimpse, even a computer diagram would be fine! I am holding off further purchases until I see what these look like.

Thanks Thomas!
