Ended up doing a little remodel work for a friend over the weekend (hence no pics) - but I got some good use out of the termi. Performed admirably. We are going back this weekend, so I'll hold off on the review till i'm done putting her to work. Pics will come with the review.

So I have been getting the last 2 done for this run, and been doing some testing with some heattreated blades that I FUBAR'ed on the locks. I wanted to know how much they would bend before they broke and where they would break. So off to the press to test. They break at about 10 tons

As you can see they always break at the jimping
IMAG0139.jpg

So now they all get new jimping that will take care of that issue
IMAG0137.jpg

Now keep in mind that the original jimping is not going to be a problem as you would need to find a way to put 10 tons of pressure on the blade to get that to happen, so dont worry about it!!! I just like to do testing and want these knives to be built above and beyond.

I have also been wanting to have my folders have a lock stop to prevent over travel. Not that this has ever been an issue but sometimes I like to tinker:) Problem has been designing one that didnt look like every body elses. So I figured why not make it look like my logo? So here you go.

The next 2 should be done shortly, I will be taking a 4 day break so I can finish the roof on my house and then next week I would like to get them out, so stay tuned boys!!!

Here we go boys and girls #6 Chris your up buddy, I shot ya an email to see where you wanted the clip. Lemme know and I ship asap.

I just had to change the lock stop, it just looked too cluttered on there, so I hope you like this one a bit better. If you like the other one better let me know man and Ill throw it on there for ya.

wow, that looks like a scratch but its not, just the lighting on the blade.

Jake, the song that comes to mind "we've only just begun" lol!!!

It's been a blast! The lucky 7 should be pleased.

Nick, thanks for the pics and reviews! I know you beat yours to death and use it daily. It's a beast!

Guys please post pics and reviews when you get these. We wanna hear about it! ;)

Ok guys here is a teaser sketch of the next project Jake and I are doing called the "War Horse"
It's going to be a 4" 3/16 Tanto Acid washed in 3v with a .200 Ti Framelock. It will be similar in size to a Strider GB. I want to use OD Green Micarta Scales with fullers. Jakes gonna do a proto for me and we hope to have some available before Blade 2012.

Just wanted to bump this back up. Haven't been able to get whole of ed to pick up that last folder. If he doesn't let me know by Friday I may have to let Chris have it:) yes you Chris, not Tue other Chris:) lol

:eek:Disappointed:eek:

I received the knife today, and promptly unpacked it. I was immediately impressed by the size, finish, and overall build quality. I checked out the flipper action... a little sticky, but it'll smooth out soon. I gave the knife a swift flip and relished the sound of the lock. Checked for blade play... not one bit. I decided to slice the box a bit, and pretty soon I found the knife in a reverse grip ready to stab! I tossed the box into the air and stabbed it. I felt an unexpected pressure on my pinky. I quickly realized the lock had failed!!! After thanking God the flipper saved me from the edge, I decided to figure out how much pressure would cause failure. I can easily push the blade closed with finger pressure. Not good. I expect Jake to take care of the issue, but wanted to report the problem to the other user's for safety reasons. I guess the wait is starting over for me.

Chris, glad you didnt get hurt. I have had 0 issues with my proto. Especially the lockup. Rest assured Jake will make it right. Sorry brother :( keep us posted.

I have no doubt that Jake will take care of me. Just wanted to post because at least #7 is almost identical to mine. I tested for blade play, and just from the look of the lock I thought it would be solid. I can't see anything wrong with it, but it slips. Glad I found the issue this way and not in a more critical situation.

If anybody has any issues like this with their folder feel free to post it up here, email, or call me (central standard time) I'll take care of it. that has always been my warranty and always will be.

Just wanted to let you know that Ive got VW sending his terminator back and will fix her up. Doesn't sound like anything major to me, should just be a lock tension issue. I should have it back in his grubby little hands by next week:)

VW sorry you had issues man, hope there is no hard feelings.

Not at all. Just want to get this beast fixed. It's boxed up for the morning mail. The lock does not fail as easily at this point, but it still slips and will unlock after a few wiggles. I expect it to be a simple fix.
