I ordered a piece of steel from the much-lauded New Jersey Steel Baron. They sent me a piece with the wrong width. After email and phone correspondence with them, I returned the piece for a replacement. They then sent me a piece with the wrong thickness. In both cases the piece of steel they sent was labeled with the dimensions I ordered, but in both cases the actual piece of steel did not match the labels.

Making a mistake once is forgivable, but making the same mistake twice in a row with the same customer, when they were aware of the initial mistake, makes me lose confidence in their quality control. A customer should not have to return a piece of steel twice (or more) before getting what they ordered. If New Jersey Steel Baron is mis-labeling their steel, I have to wonder whether they are even sending out the type of steel specified in the order.
