After following Stomper here on the forums for few months, I finally decided to order my first custom. Boy, am I happy I did. WOW!! What a great knife and what a great price too.

I contacted John via e-mail, since I can't talk on the phone, being hard of hearing. John's e-mails were excellent. He asked questions I didn't even think of! After the e-mails flew back and forth for a week, we finally hashed down the details and I made the order. A few weeks later, I had this in my hands:

I've always loved the look of John's Kephart and I've always wanted to try a knife in Cocobolo. I even had John put in some white liners, since I've never seen one with them and wanted to make it a little different then the one's I've seen.

I haven't had a chance to put this one through the paces yet, but spring is right around the corner, and I can't wait to get some woods time with this one.

Anyway, I just wanted to show off my first custom. Here's a few more pics:

I can definitely see some more JK knives in my future.

That's a knife to be proud of for sure !

In my humble opinon John makes the best knives for the money period !!!!

PS. Don't just put it on display though, JK knives are meant to be used....just remember to post pics !!!!!

His Kephy is a great design. I just did a six mo review on mine earlier this week on monday (I it probably on page 3 or 4). Anyhow, congrats on the purchase. It really is an awesome all round little bush blade. I just love the blade shape. The point is tough as hell, but at the same time pointy too. Well it won't stick if thrown, but the point very useful while at the same time very robust.

The cocobola is very nice on your knife. Suits the style quite well I think. Congrats, and as Pitdog says - but that puppy to work!

Great knife, just don't forgoet the camera when you get out in the woods :D
What a beauty.

Lovin my JK keppy. Took it out for some more woodwork today. That thing is just amazing in how it sails through some pretty hard woods. Puts some of my scandis to shame!
