Does KA-BAR’s Tactical Spork Take ‘Tactical’ Too Far?
by S.H. BLANNELBERRY on MAY 16, 2016

The KA-BAR Tactical Spork. I don’t even know what to say. A tactical spork!!!

On one hand, what the heck are they thinking? Isn’t this taking “tactical” too far? Aside from your local mall ninja, knife nut and arm-tatted bearded dude with dark sunglasses, who the heck would buy this thing?

On the other hand, okay, shut up and take my money.

At a $7 price point, I’ll take a chance on a tactical spork made from “food and water approved Grilamid,” with a hidden serrated knife in the handle.

With an overall length of 6.875 inches, a weight of 0.1 lb., and a blade length of 2.5 inches I’m sure I can find a use for it — even if it’s just to sit in a drawer next to the other tactical absurdities, e.g. the PMug, and look pretty.

What are your thoughts? Must buy or no-go?

IMHO, the "tactical" term crossed (way too far) a long time ago. The horse is long out of the barn. I might wait for the Zombi version to show up, so I can find it easier when I drop it in the dark.:p

Just got ours in the mail. Seems like a handy little utensil, the knife locks in place very firmly. The whole "tactical spork" thing is a bit ridiculos but I don't mind it.

Well you had me at spork, then lost me at "serrated knife"

In all fairness though I might pick one up for novelties sake, and also because I'm loyal Krew. But I think I'll stick with my Light my Fire Titanium eating tool for everyday usage. Love that thing so much.

I figured the tactical title was a bit tongue in cheek, that's how I took it anyway. Anyone who really feels this is tactical and meant to be so should lighten up a bit. I'd proudly whip it out with a grin and call it a tactical spork.
My wife and daughter call my bag a man purse where as I refer to it as a tactical survival man bag... with a grin of course...
