Hmmmm.... I would hope the spec'd out the copper formulation to be used on those knives. I don't carry brass bolstered knives like Buck because of the tarnish they generate, and in my really sweaty, dirty pockets, they contribute to the mess. Also, the brass bolsters tend to generate the verdigris that I hate if not properly attended to. I know Buck's brass bolsters aren't bad about the tarnish/verdigris, but then again I have rarely seen a 110 or some of their other offerings that weren't EDC work knives. No problems when used frequently.
I know there are copper formulations that are quite hard and will actually stay pretty clean with little tarnish. Maybe these knives are made from that.
I hope that anyone that buys one of those critters uses it for a few months and then posts back their experience. I think the copper is a bold move, to say the least.
