New Kershaw Guy

The blems you'd get from Dave (kershawguy) are about as good as NIB, minus the box of course. In general, they may have functional issues, however Dave is selective with his when he gets them and takes care to get the ones with only cosmetic issues. Buying a blem from Dave is pretty much like going to the factory sale and choosing a good one yourself.

I've never heard of anyone "looking down" on a blem owner or anything of the sort. That's something you need not even entertain.

I've got one blem from Dave, a Breakout, and it's pretty much flawless. I don't know what's actually supposed to be wrong with it. Ideally, I like a NIB item, because I love having the box and label on it for my collection. It's just a personal shtick though.

Do what feels right.

My carry knife is a JYD SG2 Blem. If it wasnt a blem I probably wouldnt feel free to use it like I do.

The worst blemish on any knife I have received from Dave (Kershawguy) is that there were four Xs stamped on the blade.

I'm still looking for a Damascus Skyline. I was too far down on Dave's and House of Blade's lists :(

hi all, im brandey new here this is my first post, first post with a question, im looking for BLUE LEEK with damascus blade. not a smoked blue, i had a snap-on leek with damascus blade an only owned it for about a half of a day, I LOST IT, or it had legs, if you know what i mean. anyway im would love to OWN another snap-on with damascus blade but probably NEVER find another one. so what im thinking is to build one, so im looking for a blue leek (not smoked blue) in nice shape, an also im looking for a damascus leek blade. Wait people look down on blem owners? That's a bit harsh. And how many people are we talking about?

I currently do not own any blems, but I would purchase one. It's a knife that is just as capable as a warranty'd version. Sure a NiB is more ideal, but looking down on people for buying knives? I don't even look down on people who chose to buy counterfeit knives. I can disapprove, but to each his own. Probably just mis-worded it I'm sure.

I have a Zing blem that's one of my favorite flippers. It's a great "little-big knife."

nib for me, never tried a blem to be honest. here a suggestion that probably wont be popular but i usually end up at amazon. just ordered a kershaw junkyard dog 2.2 for 68.00$ was going for 80 something everywhere else. something to think about there...

I own a few and I use them hard. I'll take a blem from Dave anyday. For $55, a JYD 2 is a bargin

Very true. If you're going to actually *gasp!* use the knife, a Kershawguy blem wins out every time. Brand new and ready for action at a deal price.

Just recognize you don't have a factory warranty with Blems. If you are a user and need a blade/handle replacement, it's gonna cost ya.
