New kicks.

Well, I'd say you're maybe more of a metrosexual than a woman.
Hardly! I don't get anything waxed or shaved, I don't have a stylist on call, and I don't get my nails done. :D

Not only are Keens comfortable in the footbed/arch area, I like the generous toe room. I basically live in my Keen sandals in the summer, except when I'm mowing or using the chainsaw or something.

I have to stay out of this forum! Now I need some new sandals... :D So far I have got a Utilikilt, a Surefire, and numerous knives, and I want to get one of those cool bottle openers, a Fatboy, and a whole lot of other stuff...

If you can only make one purchase this summer, make it a pair of Keens! :)

I second that!!! :D

How many bux are we talkin for a pair? It doesn't seem obvious to me. Thanks.

Nevermind I found it at REI.

Got mine from REI when they first came out. My Newports and Newports H2's were right around $90-$95, but they go on sale all the time. My feet think they were well worth the money.

Zappos.com has a better selection of styles and colors than REI. They also offer free shipping and an excellent return system.

The toe cap remids me of the Hanover tennis shoe locally popular where I grew up. Any older readers from the midwest familiar with it?
Keen shoes are mostly in the $80 to $100 range. Not really expensive for true comfort and usefulness.
As far as I'm concerned, Zappos sets the standard for service. They have my business.
I don't care what you call me but I know exactly what K.V. Collucci is talking about. I went shoe crazy too. There is no need to bring up gender issues....it's strictly the joy of getting something(s) you can use and really appreciate every day.
Whoa...I've posted more about this topic than I have in the last two years.

Anybody have comments on the Taos vs the Bolder ? I like them both.
The Taos have a mesh liner on the top part of the sandal kind of like a pair of water shoes and has smaller openings around the sandal. The Boulder doesn't have a mesh liner and is more open. If there is a Nordstrom around your neck of the woods you can check them out there. They carry the Keen line and the prices are comparable to Zappos.com.
