new kid in the candy store ...

Edge,
I resisted the Sneaky Pete because of it's dagger like look, didn't want to carry an offensive blade in the woods with the Scouts... Then a beautiful black locust one appeared and it was all me. I love them now! An amazing knife! I can't decide if I like the Sneaky Pete or the Bushfinger as the most beautiful/practical knive. I have a couple with a hint of green in the wood, and/or a green pinstripe, I carry them in a Rick Lowe sheath he dyed green - WOW! Sexy lines to the sheath and a super cool and different color. Try it, you'll like it! :)

Andy,
I have a thicker Sneaky Pete and a couple of super thin ones. The different ones look, feel and act like a totally different knives. The blade thickness also makes a dramatic visual difference on the Sneaky Pete, I think more so than in most other designs. I can't wait to see narrower version! That could be really fun! The Sneaky Pete is such a cool knife, I have to take them out of the sheath and just admire. The Sneaky Pete just fits my hand. I really want to snag one with the false grind top edge, or one of the other variations, like the ones this week. Keep up the amazing work, bro; your art makes the world a little better! :)

You scored another cool one Edge. I think the Sneaky Pete is my favorite. I messed one up last week and radically changed everything, removing maybe 1/8" all the way around. It came out very sexy, so I traced it. Then I took another 1/8" off and have two new patterns. The thinnest one looks like a small foil. I've not seen past the already profiled steel though. Its hard to predict what the result will be. You kind of have to blur your eyes and extrapolate the end product when you design them this way. I didn't take any pics of my dud. I need to. Been carrying it all week. Great score for sure, and thanks for your support.

Thanks Andy! Haven't handled it yet (obviously), but I think it has the potential to be one my favorites as well. Really interested in seeing what the two new "Serendipity Petes" look like! A true artist, always turning the box over … nicely done.

Thanks Will! I have thought the 'Pete looked like it had the potential to be a VERY comfortable knife to use and I like the "attitude' of the blade as a result of the of the unique handle. I really didn't expect to acquire one so soon, but the Lacewood, swedge grind, and the fact that it was 154 was just too nice to pass on … I just received my first Bushfinger, and the ergos and balance on it are outstanding (at least to my hand), I can't wait to handle this one!

My Bushboot arrived (thanks again mckrob!), and I could NOT be more pleased! Love the way this thing feels in my hand … it is going to immediately displace at least a couple knives from my rotation …

That's two for two. Fiddlebacks rock!
