New Knife Collector

I am recently retired and was looking for a new hobby. I loved knives but knew nothing about them. I joined Blade Forums 5/23/2015 and made a decision to begin collecting them. At that time I had over 60 knives but they were mostly junk I had acquired over the years. So I gave most of them to my son and started fresh. After reading many forums and asking a lot of questions it seemed the majority of members recommended to buy some knives and see what I liked.I kept 2 Gerbers and a P Graham Dunn my grandchildren had bought me for gifts. A small fixed blade my first knife that my father gave me over 50 years ago a SAK becaused I really liked it and a Holub Sycamore that was my father-in-laws EDC. In the last month I have purchased a Spyderco PM2, Spyderco Tenacious, a Byrd Meadowlark 2, a Byrd Cara Cara 2, a used Benchmade 530, a Benchmade Griptilian, a Schrade Stockman, a KaBar Warthog, a Kershaw Kuro, a Buck 110, A Buck Trigger and a Buck Stockman. Somewhere along the way this has become an obsession. I find myself reading these forums and surfing knives at 2 am after doing so all day. I have upgraded my membership to Gold and this morning I ordered Bernard Levines Guide to Knives and Their Values 4th edition. My next purchase will be a Benchmade 943 and a ZT 0562. From there I want to get a Chris Reeve Sebenza 25 and an Emerson Super Commander. Yes I must confess I've become an addict. Also I am unable to post photos. I will try in a reply.
 
If you buy ten knives a month, you'll be caught up in under five years. :D

That is the single best thing someone into knives can do. Should be required reading. And you got the last edition Mr Levine associates himself with.

Enjoy flipping though it. Make sure to read the Bowie Knives and American Hunting Knives chapters.

I just got into collecting recently as well, your collection seems to be growing as rapidly as mine.
