New knife collector

The Ontario Rat 1 and 2 generate rave reviews although I have no personal experience with them myself. The ESEE Zancudo I had was of excellent quality, and I hear similar things about the Avispa. The Boker Trance is a personal favorite, and if the ergos were a little better for me so would be the Subcom series. The Kershaw Thermite is another good performer in your budget. If a Vic Tinker (another good choice) is too fat, try a Cadet, Bantam, Rally, or Midnight Manager.
