Hey guys, I recently finished my first knife and some people suggested I post the sketch/design of my next knife before starting.

I intend to use O1 for the blade and figured walnut for the handle. The OAL is 7 5/8" with blade length 3.5". You can see the other dimensions on the sketch but generally it's a sleeker knife than my first. I also plan on going FFG with the blade but am open to suggestions there, too.

I am planning on drilling out sections of the tang to help with weight as I'm using 1/8" thick O1. The knife will be a general use camp knife and utility blade. Please let me know what you think about my design and any other insight you may have to share! If it looks like a spyderco, that's not coincidence, I styled it after a sypderco I use daily.

Personally, I don't like nubbins (thumb ramps, dips etc.) In the spine. Also, take the opportunity to sketch in your grind lines, including the plunge. Lots of guys like to leave a little sliver of the ricaso (sp?) extending out into the blade near right on the edge of the spine. This will ensure that you don't grind into the spine when grinding your fgg. Check out Nick Wheeler's stuff for a really good example of what I'm talking about... Other than that, I've got nothing to add!

Thanks for your feedback! After I drew in the blade line without the thumb ramp it look much cleaner and I decided to go that route.
