Recommendation? New knife for new work

are they gonna measure your knife at work? askin cause hitting that 2.5" with a larger handle makes it harder. if it can be close to 2.5" and slightly larger blade it gives more options......

This one is 2.5inch and they make an even smaller blade option. Edit: Oops went over budget.

What kind of work? What will you be cutting?

I wouldn’t work at a place with such restrictive and ridiculous laws, says too much about the company that they would even impose such a restriction.
So my recommendation is to find a new job instead of a new knife.

Barring that, I second both the folding utility knife like a Milwaukee fastback, or the cold steel tuff lite.
