New knife for those in a wet environment !

Eh...I dont know what to say. It is definitely interesting but I dont know if it would be worth $685.

Ouch!

I'll stick with my Pacific Salt!

I know that diving is not quite the same as working in a wet enviroment but I guess that tools involved get to do about the same things.

I have used my diving knives for cutting, killing prey and prying stuff quite often. The net cutter is ok for me but the cut out in the middle of the blade is not. I think it is a truly weak spot.

N690 is a good steel.
Extrema ratio designs are not too bad.

They have been, and are still... largely over-priced.
Weaker than ever dollar makes it even worst for buyers in the US.

I wouldn't pay more for an extrema ratio than for an equivalent fallkniven.

I not very impressed. Whats with the nylon handle wrap - looks like crap and I think its being an 'anti-slip material developed by Extrema Ratio to facilitate retention while wearing neoprene gloves.' sounds like marketting mumbo jumbo to me.

I'm looking at Spyderco's Caspian salt as a dive knife. Made of H1 with some interesting design features - like the angled handle for better leverage while using it underwater while in the normal horizontal position; finger hold to hold the knife while palm is open and two lanyards.

If your looking for a dive knife, check out the Underwater Kinetics knives. I use a Fusilier for scuba, it holds an excellent edge, the serrations work well and the knife has had no rust or discolouration.
