New knife from Stomper!

Ha! First right to brag on the second knife of this style in existence. Bearthedog has the first one, but as he is in Australia, he can't show off his stuff, so here ya go. A proper review will follow once I have this baby in hand. This is one of the last knives I'm buying, so I decided to make it a good one.

Specs: Blade 5 3/4" x 3/16", wicked convex edge. Overall is 10 3/4"

It's called a Field knife for those of you who are into naming stuff or want to place an order from John. This is my second knife from him and it is a new big brother to the keppy I have already. Sniff, I'm so proud. Cigars all around!

I really dig how the handle is set up high enough the you don't wang your fingers when you use it. This would make a hell of a good kitchen knife.
 
I have the long clip hunter from Stomper with very similar shape and specs, except just under 5.5" blade so it's legal to carry anywhere in Texas. Great knife and takes a beating with ease. Makes a Bravo 2 seem anemic.

Yup. I considered having a cumberland knife made, but this, IMO, will fit the bill nicely in the kitchen and the field.

Nope. I'm done. I have been selling or trading to get ones I want, while culling the ones I haven't used for months. I have a few more to get rid of and I'm done. (See above disclaimer). :foot:

Man I just had the pleasure of opening up two of Stompers knives (came back from my conference about an hour ago). They are awesome! Review to follow later!
 
I like all of the knives I find here. This one is neat. Like a Chefs knife. Looks like it would make a wonderful camp knife.
