Hello all, I am in the market for a new edc. Ive had a crkt folder for years and its time for a new one but I think I want a fixed blade this time. I work on a farm in Oregon so the knife will just be an all around user, cutting trees down to make shelters and stuff won't be necessary.

Im recent research ive come to like the Scandinavian style and several of the Helle knives look interesting, namely the eggen and sylvsteinen. After looking around the kellam wolverine seems just right as well.

Im sure this question is all over this forum and ive read a few older posts about it but I want some help figuring out why I might like one or the other, or if all might have another suggestions for this type of knife.

Thanks for that link, but those knives dont speak to me. I really enjoy the look of the puukko style scandi knives with birch and bone whatnot, so Im moreso in the hunt for o e of that style.

Still browsing online but some human input works better for me. Also my gf wants one too of some sort...

I have lived on a farm in Oregon my whole life. I have been very happy with a 3V knife from C3 knives. I also have two 3V slimline machetes that I use more than any other knife I have. Fighting a battle with blackberries and this bamboo someone planted years ago that spreads like weeds. I use my folder a lot too, but the machetes are used the most.

I would check out the knifemakers for sale section for fixed blades here, you will find something.
