Sorry bout the crappy pic, but I'm back down to my cell phone.:thumbdn: This time I decided to try grinding a blade out from start to finish, instead of my usuall forging. The blade is 7" w/ an oal of 12 1/4" the blade started life as a 3/16" x 1.5" stick of 1095 from Admiral. Copper guards and spacer. the curly apple handle was sourced from my parents back yard when it blew over.:D It's going to it's a new owner Sam, tommarow, a Marine on his 6th:eek: tour of the sandbox in EOD:cool:

The grind looks wavy, but its a background reflection...

Nice! I tried putting the hammer away and did stock removal for my last knife too. It was a bit of an eye opener, at least on certain designs my hammering arm just can't keep up with my bandsaw and grinders combined. The precision and repeatability you can achieve is a world apart from hammer and eyeball.

I heard that Justin! but it threw me for such a loop I forgot to stamp my name in it! oh well crap happens I guess...
