Here is a new one I made. O1 blade 5 1/2" to plunge 10 3/4" OAL 1 1/2" wide. Handle is black and green G10 with stainless 1/4" pins and lanyard tube. Blade was flat ground. Still trying to get my blade rubbing to proper standard. This one is better not still not on par with some of the other blades I see here.

Real Nice! How did you etch your info on the blade? I am using metal stamps and each time I do, I fear wrecking my work with a mistake!

I have a poor boy etcher I made myself that consists of a little 9 volt battery, a 16" red and black insulated piece of copper wire with alligator clips on all ends, an etching stencil from Ernie Grospitch (hope spelling is right), a q-tip and a little salt water.

Positve lead goes on knife, negative lead goes on end of q-tip about a 1/4" from end, dip q-tip in salt water, dab on newspaper so it is not to sloppy wet, rub wet q-tip back and forth across stencil that is secured to knife with masking tape. In about 2 or 3 minutes you have an etched makers mark. Sand lightly and you have a final result.

WOW!......Looks great.....but sounds too complicated for me. What is, and how is the stencil made?

It is really simple. Here is a picture of all you need. Ernie is on this site and I think his stencil outfit is called Blue Lightning Stencils. The stencils are the most expensive part of the set up. You should give it a try! Let me know if I can help.
