I was at a local gunshow this weekend and was able to look at a Kauhavan Puukkopaja. Its a Finnish knife curley wood and reindeer handle carbon steel differant blade lengths what was unusual was the edge of the blade was polished the rest was blacken and rough finished
The owner ( she is a home base business here in Colorado) told me the blade was harden to 61 rockwell
Personally, I think thats a little high for a carbon blade.
The fit and finnish look ok It wasn't up to custom standards but she explained it was made by hand up there in Finland.
If you google the knife you can see her website and the differant knives
So gang anybody know this knife ?? Give me the scoop ????
I got a Helle and had a Martinelle (gave it to my son)
I like the Helle hoping this Kauhavan might be as good a knife if not better
Thanks for the comment Jack
