A knife is a _tool_
An unused tool is a useless waste of money.
Use it. Scratch it up. Make some memories.... "That scratch on the side is from this great hike in the Olympic National Forest when we decided we needed to stop for lunch. After my son fell into that stream, I dropped the knife (since my hands were frozen after grabbing him) while getting the fire (in the backpacking stove) going so we could have some hot soup and s'mores on the trail to warm back up."
OR
"We were visiting the Custer State Park. We drove through the park and saw the donkeys and ta'tanka (buffalo), then stopped for a picnic lunch. The skies opened up, and my knife was the difference between being cold and having a fire under a tarp while we ate lunch. It stinks that my son dropped the knife and kicked it across the picnic area, but he got the fire going so we were warm. "
Use it or send it to me to make memories with.
Enjoy.
