New Knife, Old Design- Opinions?

I made this design a few years ago when I was very new to selling knives. I just re-made it for a friend as a custom order. The blade is 6 1/2" long by 2" at the widest. Overall length is 12". The steel is 1/4", O1 stock. What do you guys think of it? Thanks.

looks like a mighty fine knife to me  the blade length is short enough so that it isnt cumbersome, but, because of its width and weight, it could also do a bit of chopping if need be.

my one gripe would be the choil/ finger notch. i like the feature on larger knives, but on a knife such as this, i would see it as a do-all type blade and i think the the choil hampers its use for things such as notch carving and other things one might expect a knife in this class to do.

the choil thing is probably more of my opinion, but other than that it looks great to me. even with it, it would be a great knife though.

Looks like a very nice design. It's way too thick for me, and I don't like the choil much either. Then again, the choil on my RC-3 doesn't bother me that much in actual use, so if it came down to it I'd take it either way, I guess.

That's a good stout knife though. Should work just fine.

Nice classic design, probably a bit too thick for my taste but it looks like a winner. Typical camp knive.

Looks great to me, I have always liked a wide blade and the lines on that look perfect !!!

Awsome,
I might be a small timer, but for what its worth, every knife I've seen you make has been extremly apealing to me.
Nice work my friend.

Very classic camp knife lines---I like it a lot! When it comes to choils, I like them either absent/tiny or large (like this one). I really dislike medium-sized choils that aren't nearly big enough to safely use as a finger rest. Those are inconvenient and potentially dangerous.

Absolutely stunning. I like the design a lot.

Is that an extended pommel/tang? What's the difference between a tang and a pommel anyhow?

I think it's cool how you make a number of designs but each one screams "Laconico!"

Beautiful stuff. Really.

Damn Ray, another one I want!!!!

Great looking blade, looks like a perfect camp design. Bet that sucker is a helluva chopper.

I now have to add this design to the list of knives I am wanting from you next.

Good work brother.

It looks really nice. Clean lines and very good proportions.

Where does the knife balance? My only concern with a knife this size in 1/4" would be that the the balance would be to far to the rear for effective chopping.

There is no questions when you see it that it is one off your creations.

I think it is one heck of a knife. No knife fills every niche but as a short tank knife for chopping and rough use, it should excell. Love the choil.

Love it. Looks like it would even chop pretty well for it's size with the way the blade drops a little bit. Great design!
