New knife pattern

Looks like something you could organize as a Blade Forum group buy!

A mini version would be more my speed. 4" blade. 4.5" handle. ~1.25 or 1.5" height.

Otherwise, that is a darn nice looking, simple design.

I like that a LOT. I can see myself with one of those, without the wrap. The blade will be heat treated, yes ? Just not the tang ? Pardon the stupid questions please.

Yes the blade is heat treated. Approximately half the width of the blade is hardened :)

I like it alot, like Pit, I would like a higher grind but really like the knife.

A companion with 3" blade from 5/32 or 1/8" would make a formidable pair.

Good looking knife! I like your idea. Allowing the user to add his/her own handle if they want is a nice idea. IMO Having two holes pre-drilled would be even better. Love the design!!

I like that idea! Gonna incorporate that. Just makes for more possibilities :)

Got out to the woodline with friends today and got a little test driving done :) I didn't get too many pics but we put the blade through some tough trials. Here are a couple pics of a downed tree I chopped through in about 4minutes and some shavings I carved after the chopping. The group was pleasantly surprised by how well the knife worked for throwing too with River8 getting a perfect albeit low stick on the very first throw :D I have started blanking out a few more with a new hole pattern for wraps or customer added scales. Keep an eye on the Exchange for when they go up :D

Resilient blade places are a very important part of kitchen accessories. A reliable blade set will always give you an excellent cooking experience. This is why Calphalon blade places are a welcome boost to any kitchen when it comes to durable kitchenware.

I have packed my carbon v true flight as a backup and yours beats it hands down with the grind and better blade shape for using not just throwing......
predrilled would sell man, lots of guys want a durable, affordable handmade.

great job, I would happily build a survival kit around it.

Bill,

That IS a great design; simple and functional as the day is long  - and a lot of good old fun to play with...!!
Glad that bad boy is staying local, and look forward to further gentle testing!

Cheers,

I really like a simple blade. Does it have a big brother in .25", say 10" blade. Heck, I don't even need the wrap, just blade.

That might happen at a later date :) The cool thing about this design is that it can grow or shrink and still remain an inexpensive tool.

Great design and all purpose blade, Bill! Very glad to see it staying local. That knife is fantastic and just loves to fly!
