New Knife Proto....The Exile

Nathan I think it looks great. I really like both the blade profile and the handle. Damn, that handle looks comfortable. Personally, when I'm whacking away with a knife I'm only using my first three fingers. That handle design is perfect for taking a good solid swing, if your me, of course. :D The only thing I'd prefer is bringing in the bevels more but, I think you got a big winner there. Very cool.

Jay,Thanks This was a dry run for this knife,I will be tweaking the grind some
I am going to round the plunge area out more,I like slow round plunges
I am then going to bring the bottom bevel up some and bring the top grind down some so they meet more in the middle,it will make the knife faster in the hand. Thanks for your input.I have gotten some very good input that will help make it a better knife
Nathan

Great job Nathan, your definatly getting a reconisable style. I realy love the handle shapes.

Do you sell your knives specifically on one web site? Nice work, I'm an admirer of your work. Your on my top 5 list up there with Busse and Al Mar...

Do you mind sharing the dimensions?

EDIT: Nevermind - it was already posted.

Great knife!

sweet knife! not sure how big it is, but it would make a sweet kitchen knife imo! especially if the handle came up the spine of the blade a bit more.......just a thought.

Holy thread from the dead...Last post before it was dredged up was sept, 2004!

Nathan has quit making knives and sold off his equipment last time I heard... Twice since this thread was started.

I never thought it was that hard to read the date on a thread....Especially when you had to do a search to find it.
