There is a custom knife maker near me, going to ask him about a casket style handle. Yes, that RS was one of my better knife purchases for sure. To wit: these two were exactly the same priceWow a 3v RS for 200, that's not an avg price. You got a smoking deal. Make a new handle you will never regret it, I am loving my custom canvas. A casket style would look great and be easy to do.
My friend says that the tang can be drilled for a second hole if the maker wants to make it a more secure fit. He said that he does a channel in 2 halves for the tang and has done brass or SS pins as extra security. He always oversizes the new handle since the orig are a bit small for average hands. The shame of it is CS could and should do a full tang on the bigger blades especially for the retail price. Let us know if you get it done. There is a custom knife maker near me, going to ask him about a casket style handle. Yes, that RS was one of my better knife purchases for sure. I don't find you very entertaining , so no loss IMO .Not bad luck just cheap rubber. Never said they were my users although I do have a user now, I got them from a trusted friend that did some conversions and asked me to store them while he was moving. There are actually more that were less used. He did not use them all but told me they don't hold up and are easily damaged and I believe him I take his word before random internet users. I won't entertain any more exchange on this subject since I am convinced some here will just babble on with opinions on things they actually don't know. If you like them keep buying them if you want a few levels better then do new handles or look at other brands.

You most certainly implied it by saying that you have them. Not bad luck just cheap rubber. Never said they were my users although I do have a user now,
Finally, views on knives on BF are hardly opinions from "random internet users". Many of us have had knives from the 1980s onwards. Some even longer.
